Artistic paperweights

Make a paperweight in glass or crystal is very difficult and technical. Incorporating a design inside increases the difficulty. Making process are secret since many century and each weight is hand made with "murrines" (these are glass cane fragment). About the ornaments like flowers or butterflies, they are in crystal. The artist models them himself with scissors and little pincer under the heat of blow lamp. After firing the ornaments are included in the transparent crystal. It's the most difficult stage of the process but it's too the most magical.
